Those of us who spend many hours in front of the computer constantly as part of our work are usually familiar with some keyboard shortcuts. Those who do not know the lethal combination to keep our progress in a document or in almost any other type of file, is because they live a dangerous life.

Pressing CTRL + S is something that many of us have embedded in the brain, mainly as a result of the fear of losing everything we have done so far because the computer failed and we had forgotten to save. So that this is not a burden or a problem, you could use this interesting tool that is responsible for doing it for you, its name is AutoSaver and besides portable, it is free.

AutoSaver is a freeware tool , it does not include insufferable offers for you to install third-party programs, and it does not require installation as it is a portable application. It is compatible with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 , although you can also use it in Windows 7 but you will have to install .NET Framework 4 first.

Once downloaded you must unzip the file and you will only have to execute the AutoSaver executable by double clicking on it. After doing this, an icon in the form of a diskette will appear in the taskbar, next to the notification area. If you right click on it, you can access the preferences of the program.

AutoSaver lets you set an interval in minutes of your preference for the program to automatically save the progress in your applications. You can also choose exactly which applications you want to work with AutoSaver, as in the capture, where you see only Word and Notepad ++. Or, you can add exceptions and let it work in everything else.

You can also choose to run every time Windows starts, and being a very light program will have almost no impact on the start of your computer. Of course, remember that the first saved must do it yourself , AutoSaver only saves after this, as if constantly press CTLR + S for you.
