Cocktails in London – Planning your Christmas Night Out

That time of the year will soon be upon us, and many of us will turn our attentions to our work Christmas parties – you know, going out with the people we spend most of our life with, drinking too much and making a fool of ourselves, all in the name of great office banter! So, if you are lucky enough to be hitting the bright lights of London on your Christmas night out, here are a few nightspots across London that will be sure to entertain everyone…

The Toyshop, Putney

In the heart of Putney, The Toyshop is great for a cocktail or two – and if you are doing a weeknight work do, it offers happy hour on weekday too, between 5pm– 8pm. Perfect if you work nearby and want to head out straight from work, like London based SEO agency http://www.elevateuk.com/ . They do mouth-watering cocktails to suit every taste, such as big bad wolf – vanilla vodka with strawberry foam and a roasted marshmallow, and revenge of the gingerbread man – fresh kumquats, lime, gingerbread syrup, and vodka – served with a chocolate gingerbread man! So, you can get yourself a nice festive sweet treat to soak up some of that alcohol!

Cahoots, Soho

This popular bar is a hit with both locals and tourists – it is easy to see why. It is a bar set in the era of the second world war, and furnished with artefacts from the day – it is set in a tube carriage and the seats are original reclaimed tube seats. As you enter there is a cockney train guard to greet you at the door, and you enter an old WW2 air raid shelter – great for getting into the spirit of the blitz! All the staff are in character and offer huge array of cocktails – staff are very happy to recommend if you are unsure.

Tropicana Beach Club, Covent Garden

If you are all a bit down in the dumps with the good old British weather, and summer holidays are sadly missed, this is definitely the place for you! With a beach vibe, it really is summer all year round – but sadly, unlike the Wham hit, the drinks are not free in this Club Tropicana! Featuring a large lagoon pool, relaxing hammocks, and a selection of tropical animals (including a group of flamingos) you can enjoy the holiday atmosphere – Not forgetting a delicious tropical cocktail of course!

Looking Glass Cocktail Club, Shoreditch

For a taste of the more unusual, head to Shoreditch. This Alice in Wonderland themed club takes you through the looking glass into a night of debaucherous entertainment, in opulent settings – and incredible cocktails, sometimes served by the mad hatter himself, and created in the mysterious ‘Underland’ – the secret underground laboratory. This is a night out that you will certainly not forget in a hurry!
