Make the Most out of your Garden

So if you are lucky enough to have a garden, but would like to make more of it, have a look below at some ideas sure to give you some inspiration…

Attract Wildlife – So if you are keen to encourage wildlife to your garden, a good place to start is plants. Wild plants and plants like blackberries and hawthorn are great choices as the butterflies and bees will come for the nectar and pollen, and birds and small mammals will be attracted to the fruits and protection offered by the bushes. In winter you may even find that some hedgehogs have taken up home underneath the bushes!

Create a Focal Point – All the best looking gardens have a focal point – a pond is a great idea, as it provides a home for wildlife, and looks amazing, but if you have small children or not a lot of space, how about a water feature? There many great ones around and can totally transform a garden. If water is not your thing, then how about a rock garden? They look great and you can be as creative as you like. The great thing about rock gardens is that you don’t have to have a lot of room to make them.

Outdoor Room – If you are looking for more room, or simply want to enjoy your garden more how about setting up a garden room? You could create a cocktail bar or a playroom for kids, or if you work from home how about a garden office? Check out http://www.gardenspaces.co.uk/garden-rooms/garden-offices/. You can not only get more out of your garden this way, but it can make extra room in your home as well!

Treehouse – For kids – or the kids in us, then a treehouse is the ultimate garden must have! If you have a tree in the garden capable of supporting a treehouse, they are a great idea, providing extra outdoor play space for children, where they can really let their imagination run wild. They are also great for sleepovers!

Add a bit of Personality – Of course you want to make your garden yours – add a bit of what you like to it. Whether it is though ornaments of your favourite animal, or if you really like wind chimes, there are many ways that you can stamp your personality on the garden. Go and have a look in garden centres at the range of things you can add to make it really yours.
