In the winter, we all need something to do to get through the season of darkness and bad weather! However, there are plenty of things that we can do to keep busy at this time of the year, and many of these are actually useful particularly in the winter.

Knitting – As well as being an activity that is known to help with physical health conditions such as high blood pressure, knitting is also a useful way to make all of those cosy things that you need to keep warm in the winter months. Stargazing – As we have so many more hours of darkness, now is a great time to get into astronomy and start observing the splendour of the night sky. There are various cosmic spectacles to see over the winter, from meteor showers to supermoons, as well as the various planets of the solar system that you can spot through a telescope.
